Hepatitis C and Treatment-Side Effects

Hepatitis C is present in about 30% of people living with HIV/AIDS. Treatment for HIV/Hepatitis C co-infection consists of taking pegylated interferon with ribavirin. This treatment has side effects including mood swings, anxiety and irritability, among others. What have been your experiences with this treatment? How have you managed side effects? If you want to know more about this treatment, what questions do you have?

The toughest treatment I've ever endured, but it was hepatologically and virologically successful.
HUGE psychiactric side effects, mood swings, depression, anxiety, aggression, irritability, it also felt like the worse flu I've ever had, which started to get better on day 7 of my weekly regimin.
It was like my control switch for aggression and irratability was shut off...if someone bumped into me on the street, it took all my strength to not atack them, and I'm a pacafist.
I tood 3 antidepressants, 2 antipsychotics, 2 antianxieolitics...without them, I dont even want to think about what I might of done! Scary, yes, but if it works, itw worth it!
Peace,
